Terms and Conditions for Statistical Consultation Services

Please carefully review the following Terms and Conditions for the statistical consultation service provided by SuSTATability located in Australia. By utilising our service, you agree to abide by these terms. If you do not accept any of these terms, kindly refrain from using our service.

1. Service Description: SuSTATability offers statistical consultation services to help clients with data analysis, interpretation, and statistical modeling. Our service may include, but is not limited to, data analysis, report generation, and statistical method consultation.

2. Client Responsibilities:

  • Data and Information: Clients are responsible for supplying accurate and complete data and information necessary for the consultation. Any inaccuracies or omissions may affect the quality of the service.

  • Compliance: Clients must utilise the service for lawful purposes only and comply with all applicable Australian laws and regulations or the laws and regulations in the countries where our advice will be used.

3. Service Fees:

  • Payment: Clients are required to pay the agreed-upon fees for the consultation service as per the invoice issued by SuSTATability.

  • Payment Methods: SuSTATability accepts payment through various methods indicated on our website, or other agreed-upon payment methods.

  • Refunds: Refunds may be granted under specific circumstances as outlined in our Refund Policy (https://sustatability.com/refund-policy), in accordance with Australian consumer protection laws.

  • Postgraduate students working on projects closely aligned with the vision and activities of SuSTATability could be eligible for a reimbursement of up to two consultations, provided they agree to acknowledge SuSTATability in their publications. Written approval from the supervisor is required for this eligibility.

  • In exceptional cases, for postgraduate projects closely aligned with the vision and activities of SuSTATability, students may be eligible for extended long-term support from SuSTATability if they agree to include participant SuSTATability researchers as coauthors. Written approval from the supervisor is required for this eligibility.

4. Scheduling and Consultation:

  • Scheduling: Clients should schedule consultation appointments in advance through the designated booking system or by contacting SuSTATability directly.

  • Cancellation: Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.

5. Confidentiality:

  • Data and Information: SuSTATability will treat all client data and information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without client consent, except as required by Australian law.

  • Non-Disclosure Agreement: SuSTATability may request clients to sign a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) if necessary.

6. Intellectual Property:

  • Ownership: Any codes, analyses, or materials produced as a result of the statistical consultation service are the intellectual property of SuSTATability unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Client Use: Clients may use the materials provided for their intended purpose but may not reproduce or distribute them without SuSTATability's written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability: SuSTATability is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any other financial or personal losses resulting from the use of our statistical consultation service to the extent permitted by Australian law.

8. Termination: SuSTATability reserves the right to terminate the consultation service for any client if there is a breach of these terms and conditions, non-payment of fees, or for any other reason deemed necessary, in accordance with Australian legal requirements.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions: SuSTATability reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes through email or through SuSTATability's website.

10. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Australian law. Any disputes or legal actions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
